Byelaw No 38 mentions a list of necessary documents required for selling a flat, but it is not mentioned that the NOC from the housing society is mandatory. Suppose a transferor or transferee of an apartment wants a NOC from the housing society for personal reasons. In that case, the housing society will have to issue it within a month of receiving the request.
